Chapter 11: Audiovisual Technologies
When I am a teacher, and when I have to incorporate the use of audiovisual technologies, there are some that I can use to the benefit of my lesson plans and for the benefit of my students. Like in the book, they mention a variety, to name a few, here are the four I believe I can use. One traditional audio technology being the original cassette and headphones. This can be used for students who possibly have trouble hearing, or need to be read to by listening to it and following along. The more recent emerging technology I would then use would be Internet radio. This could be implemented for even a project that uses news, sports, music, or science. This can expand the minds of students and have them open to the use of other technologies. The traditional visual technology I would personally pick would be print materials. Photos, worksheets and textbooks are those of the pasts, but sometimes it is a good source for reading and comprehending the overall outlook for a topic. Without textbooks students would have to find information collectively from a few sources. A textbook is just one book with a lot of information, making it easy access to students. The emerging visual technology I would then use would be the document camera. Like an overhead projector this is essential for lessons. Since it takes what I lay down under the camera ad projects it on the screen, it can have students pay attention and follow along as I would go through the steps. It can also show 3-D objects rather than just paper.
Chapter 6: Digital Responses in the Classroom
Based on the information provided in chapter 6, I would much rather prefer teaching in a classroom that had more digital technologies. Since digital technology has made extreme improvement over the years, the use of it in the classroom, is more of an essential. Like mentioned in the book, a good use specifically is the digital scanner. If I happened to be a science teacher, I could use this to scan leaves for an experiment, that would then transfer straight onto my computer. But there are many other digital technologies that can benefit lesson plans as well. There are digital cameras, graphic tablets, microphones, and touch screens. Each one of this can enhance hand on learning and provide students with interesting, yet educational technology in completing their work. Overall, it is a positive way to teaching, and is something I am more interested in as technology continues to grow.

Grandpa?!
While watching the Superbowl, you must always watch the commercials. Each year, even in high school the day after the Superbowl we would vote on the most popular. Usually I find the Doritos commercial to be the best. Doritos, once again, did not fail. My favorite commercial was the one where the roommate sprinkles Doritos in the fish tank, the plant, and then the urn to bring everything back to life. The last of it, when the grandpa comes back to life, was totally unexpected and hilarious! Even though I was not a Green Bay fan or a Pittsburgh fan i enjoyed watching the Superbowl year just to see the commercials.
